Every Kick Counts

Help us build an All-Weather, Inclusive facility for the Aura Community

Our Mission

Kicks United is on a mission to create an inclusive, accessible, and weather-proof sports space.

The vision is to create a facility that welcomes everyone in our community — children, young people, adults, seniors, schools, multicultural groups, and people of all abilities — providing a safe, accessible, and engaging place for all to enjoy sport every day

Why It Matters

Safe, All-Weather Play - A high-quality artificial surface means football continues—rain, heat, or humidity. No cancellations, no barriers, just consistent access for everyone.

Health & Wellbeing - Regular outdoor activity boosts physical fitness, confidence, resilience, and overall mental wellbeing. Our facility creates a safe space for people of all ages and abilities to stay active.

Inclusive By Design - From wheelchair-accessible pathways to sensory-considerate spaces, the environment is built so every participant—regardless of mobility, sensory needs, or experience—can engage safely and comfortably.

Community Connection - More than a pitch, this is a place where youth, women, seniors, multicultural communities, and families come together. A welcoming hub where belonging grows and football brings people closer every day.

Impact & Testimonials

Special Olympics QLD

athletes with an intellectual disability and/or autism can develop skills, build friendships, and experience the joy of sport alongside peers of all abilities.

Families and carers consistently share how these sessions foster confidence, social connection, and a sense of belonging for their loved ones.

An accessible, shaded outdoor facility will ensure these benefits continue and expand. It will provide a safe, comfortable space for athletes to participate regardless of weather conditions, reducing barriers to engagement and supporting consistent programming throughout the year.

Baringa Football Club

Through his unwavering commitment, Louis has run school holiday camps, volunteered his time to assist parents, players, and coaches, and played a vital role on the club committee.

His passion for inclusivity shines through in everything he does, particularly in his efforts to provide opportunities for children with special needs and those from families who face barriers to accessing sport

Carina Gardner

Having lived in Aura for a decade, I truly believe there is a pressing need for an inclusive football program in our community such as Ability Kicks.

Children with disabilities, or those with additional needs, are often excluded from mainstream sports, leaving them without an appropriate and safe space to develop their physical, social, and emotional skills.

Ability Kicks addresses this need by offering a tailored, enjoyable, and engaging football experience that builds confidence, fosters teamwork, and creates a sense of belonging, being supported and most importantly being understood and not judged.

NSPS

During Term 4 2025, Louis ran a four week football program at Nirimba SPS for our students. His program was extremely well received by our students and the staff that had the pleasure of being a part of the program.

Each session was engaging, dynamic and developmental for every student that participated. The sessions were well planned and involved activities that were inclusive for every student and their individual needs.

Louis's enthusiasm and passion for football was infectious and ensured that every student was involved and excited to be playing football with their peers.
